On April 21 & 22, Learntrends will host Corporate Learning Trends & Innovation, a series of online conversations on boosting the performance of organizations through learning. Christine will be a guest moderator for a portion of this free, live, online event. Conversations will be recorded and made available on the web to foster reflection and continuing discussion. Check it out.

2008 was a year of new endeavors for Christine. Sending artwork to museums, working on a book of vintage tattoo designs, and helping to research a book about Albert Morse, her late mate.

In her new blog, Continues Tomorrow, she describes graphic facilitation experiences along with her day to day experience of life.

Visual Language

The shared understanding of information is critical for groups to navigate through any process. With Art For Change, Christine Valenza provides graphic support to help such groups find common ground.

Working with corporations, governmental agencies, universities, communities and non-profits, Christine visually encapsulates a group’s ideas in colorful keywords and images that accommodate all learning styles. Group members can hear the words spoken while seeing them represented with images.

The parts and the whole reveal their relationships, and complex issues become easier to follow.

"My role is to make the group’s whole process explicit and visual as a means of facilitating learning and understanding. As I listen I am grasping meaning as well as the words, listening for patterns of thought while seeking connections and themes. I then summarize the content in key words and images and create synthesis from observed patterns and connections in the content."
